Domestic Visa Pilot Program Confirmed for 2024 – What You Need to Know!

We’re excited to share that the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) has confirmed the details of a new pilot program for H-1B visa holders set to begin in early 2024. While full scope details will be published in the Federal Register notice, AILA has shared some important information:
  • Begin in early 2024;
  • The program will be limited to H-1B principals, and only open to nationals of countries not subject to reciprocity fees;
  • India is one of the eligible countries for participation in the pilot program;
  • Requirements for participation will be similar to those for the interview waiver program, and will be available for a total of 20,000 applicants; and
  • Participation in the program will be voluntary.
