Immigrant Visa

Spouse, Widow(er), and unmarried children under 21 of US Citizens come under this category. There is no numerical limitation on the number of visa issued to this category. Once the petition is approved, they are eligible for immigrant visas.

The following categories of persons are eligible for an Immigrant visa upon the approval of a Visa whenever available:

  • Spouses, minor and unmarried children of lawful permanent residents. (F-2)
  • Married sons and daughters of US Citizen. (F-3)
  • Brothers and Sisters of US Citizens provided the US Citizen is at least 21 years of age. (F-4)

The following categories of people are eligible to get an immigrant visa when the employer filed the immigrant petition and priority date is current

  • (E1): Employment First Preference: Priority Workers
  • (E2): Employment Second Preference: Professionals Holding Advanced Degrees and Persons of Exceptional Ability
  • (E3): Employment Third Preference: Skilled Workers, Professionals, and Unskilled Workers (Other Workers)
  • (E4): Employment Fourth Preference: Certain Special Immigrants
  • (E5): Employment Fifth Preference: Immigrant Investors

Diversity Visa – Diversity Visas are provided to citizens of countries with low rates of immigration to the U.S. Unlike other immigrant types; Diversity Visas (DV) does not require a U.S. sponsor, and therefore, a petition is not needed.
